Sun exposure

Sun exposure is the exposure of the skin to the sun's rays. The sun is essential for the health of our skin because it promotes the synthesis of vitamin D, which plays a key role in our bodies. However, overexposure to UV rays can lead to a number of skin problems and is one of the main contributors to skin aging.

The UV rays that the sun emits can penetrate the deeper layers of the skin and cause damage at the cellular level. One of the most visible and immediate effects of overexposure to the sun is sunburn. The skin becomes red, tight and painful, and in extreme cases blisters can appear.

Chronic sun exposure can lead to premature skin aging, which manifests itself through wrinkles, age spots and loss of skin elasticity. In addition, it increases the risk of developing certain types of skin cancer, including the most dangerous of all - melanoma.

To protect the skin from the negative effects of sun exposure, use creams with high UV filters, wear protective clothing and avoid the sun during peak sunlight hours. Moisturizing the skin after sun exposure is also key to ensure the skin regenerates and stays healthy.
