Puffy eyes

Puffy eyes are a common problem that can be caused by a variety of factors. One of the main causes of puffiness around the eyes is fluid retention in the tissues, also known as fluid retention. This can be the result of excessive salt intake, poor diet, lack of hydration, hormonal changes or kidney disease.

Another reason for swollen eyes can be allergies, especially seasonal allergies, which cause inflammation in the body. Contact with allergens such as pollen, dust, animal dander or food can lead to allergic reactions, including swelling around the eyes.

A common cause of puffy eyes is fatigue and lack of sleep. Not getting enough sleep makes the skin around the eyes prone to swelling, and improper blood circulation can lead to fluid buildup.

Stress and tension can also contribute to puffy eyes. Under stress, the body releases hormones that can cause fluid retention and cause swelling in various parts of the body, including the eye area.

Remember that chronic swelling of the eyes, especially if accompanied by other worrisome symptoms, should be consulted with a doctor. A specialist can help identify the cause and recommend appropriate treatment or lifestyle changes to help alleviate the puffiness.
